Sherry graduated summa cum laude in 2005 from Wichita State University with an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and endorsements for Middle Level Math and Middle Level Science. After her husband was transferred to the Seattle, Washington area she began teaching 8th grade math and science. Sherry especially enjoyed teaching algebra and distinguished herself by having 100% of her students pass the End of Course Exam the first year it was administered in her district. In 2011, Sherry voluntarily transferred to an intermediate school where she was part of a multi-age 4th/5th grade team. Again her husband was transferred and she moved to Prescott, Arizona where her current position is Title 1 Math Interventionist at a K-4 Elementary school. Sherry also enjoys teaching robotics in an after school program and while she misses teaching science during the school day, she enjoys helping students feel successful in math.
